Proposed Updates to Missouri CAFO Rules
Missouri Department of Natural Resources must update the current Missouri CAFO rules to address changes in the Federal CAFO rules published February 12, 2003. Further changes are likely because of anticipated changes in Federal rules expected to be announced by USEPA sometime in Fall 2008.
June 16, 2008 Proposed Revisions to Missouri CAFO Rules
(top)Missouri DNR has proposed changes in Missouri CAFO rules to meet the requirements of the 2003 Federal CAFO rule revisions. The comment period on the proposed changes started June 16, 2008 and will end September 17, 2008.
Public Hearing Scheduled: A public hearing on proposed changes to the Missouri CAFO Rules is scheduled during the next Clean Water Commission meeting. The meeting will take place September 10, 2008 and is being held at:
Q Hotel and Spa, 560 Westport Rd., Kansas City, MO
The meeting is scheduled to convene at 9:00AM and the CAFO rule is the first item on the agenda. Public comments submitted at this meeting will be included in the official comment record and considered before finalizing the rule. Written comments will be accepted until September 17, 2008.
